Raised in goat and purified as a delipidated, 0.2 µm filtered polyclonal reagent, this unconjugated antibody to Apolipoprotein B (ApoB) is supplied by Antibodies.com as a 10 ml liquid for turbidimetric immunoassay (TIA) workflows used to quantify ApoB in clinical chemistry settings.

Apolipoprotein B is the principal structural protein of low-density lipoprotein and related atherogenic particles; its circulating concentration is widely monitored as a biomarker of cardiovascular risk and lipid metabolism. The Antibodies.com polyclonal reagent detects epitopes on the ApoB molecule and is formatted for automated turbidimetric analyzers that measure antigen-antibody complex formation by light scatter or absorbance.

Because the antibody is unconjugated, it can be paired with user-defined labels or applied directly in the precipitation-based turbidimetric format. The goat host and polyclonal clonality support recognition of multiple epitopes on full-length ApoB, including both ApoB-100 and ApoB-48-containing lipoprotein fractions. Delipidation during purification reduces background signal from endogenous lipids copurified with the immunoglobulin fraction.

For routine use, refrigerate the supplied vial; for longer-term storage, aliquot and freeze to preserve binding activity. Each 10 ml bottle provides enough reagent for clinical runs on standard immunoassay analyzers.
