Polyclonal antibody raised in rabbit against apolipoprotein L3 (APOL3), a member of the APOL gene cluster on chromosome 22q12.3 that participates in lipid transport and cellular innate immunity. This unconjugated primary reagent from Antibodies.com is validated for Western blot and cross-reacts with human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting comparative expression studies across mammalian model systems.
APOL3 transcription is induced by type I and type II interferons, and the protein has been reported to participate in intracellular defense against bacterial pathogens including Listeria monocytogenes by associating with autophagosomal and phagosomal membranes. The antibody is supplied at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline containing 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.3, as a 100 µl vial. Refrigerate upon arrival and aliquot if repeated use is intended to limit freeze-thaw cycles of the stock solution.
