Raised in rabbit against apolipoprotein H, this unconjugated polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is prepared at 1 mg/ml in a 100 µl vial and formulated in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol for cold-storage stability. The antibody binds APOH (also called β2-glycoprotein I), a single-chain plasma glycoprotein of roughly 50 kDa that circulates in association with lipoprotein particles and is the principal autoantigen targeted in antiphospholipid syndrome.
Validated for western blot and immunohistochemistry applications, the reagent detects the target in human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting comparative tissue studies in cardiovascular, hepatic, and autoimmune research. For long-term storage, aliquot the glycerol-containing stock and freeze at -20 °C to limit freeze-thaw cycles, while keeping working aliquots refrigerated between uses.
