Apolipoprotein D (APOD) is a 29 kDa lipocalin-family glycoprotein studied extensively in lipid transport, aging biology, and neurodegenerative disease research, including Alzheimer's and Parkinson's models. Antibodies.com offers a rabbit polyclonal APOD antibody supplied in a 100 µl vial as an unconjugated reagent, validated for Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence applications on human samples. The polyclonal design provides epitope diversity that supports consistent detection across denaturing and native conditions, while the unconjugated presentation gives researchers flexibility in selecting secondary labelling and detection chemistry. Store at -20 °C to preserve activity across repeated freeze-thaw cycles, with brief equilibration before aliquoting for individual experiments.
