The apolipoprotein B receptor (APOBR, also known as APOB48R) is a single-pass transmembrane protein of the low-density lipoprotein receptor family that functions as a cell-surface docking site for reelin and apolipoprotein B-containing lipoproteins. Its dual specificity makes the reagent broadly relevant to neuroscience studies of reelin signaling and neuronal migration, and to metabolic disease research on lipid uptake in obesity, type 2 diabetes, and atherogenesis.

Antibodies.com provides this rabbit polyclonal reagent in unconjugated format, validated for western blot and immunohistochemistry on human and rat specimens. The antibody is supplied at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) containing 15 mM sodium azide as preservative, at approximately pH 7.2, in a 100 µl vial. Refrigerate after receipt and protect from light; avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles to preserve the immunoglobulin fraction. As a polyclonal reagent, the antiserum contains multiple clones recognizing several epitopes on APOBR, which can strengthen signal in western blot and IHC applications. For research use only.
