Anti-APOBEC3G Antibody

From Antibodies.com, this rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes human APOBEC3G (apolipoprotein B mRNA editing enzyme catalytic polypeptide-like 3G), a cytidine deaminase central to innate cellular defense against retroviruses, where it is packaged into HIV-1 virions and drives G-to-A hypermutation of nascent viral cDNA. The reagent is unconjugated, validated for western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence applications, and supplied as 100 µl of antiserum per vial. The antibody supports research into HIV-1 restriction by the Vif-mediated counter-defense pathway, innate immune signaling in lymphocytes and myeloid cells, and the contribution of APOBEC3G activity to tumor mutational landscapes.
