Anti-APOBEC3C Antibody

This polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets APOBEC3C, a single-domain cytidine deaminase in the APOBEC3 family that contributes to innate immune defense against retroviruses and endogenous retroelements. APOBEC3C expression has been documented in hematopoietic and epithelial tissues, and antibodies against this target are used to investigate enzyme localization, APOBEC-associated mutational signatures in tumor genomes, and restriction of HIV-1 along with other viral substrates. The antibody recognizes the human APOBEC3C protein and supports Western blot detection of bands consistent with the predicted 22 kDa polypeptide, as well as immunofluorescence imaging of fixed cells.
