Apolipoprotein A1 (APOA1) is the principal protein constituent of high-density lipoprotein particles and a key driver of reverse cholesterol transport, making it a frequent target in cardiovascular and metabolic disease research. This polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is raised in rabbit, supplied unconjugated, and formulated at 1 mg/ml in PBS supplemented with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol for cryoprotection. It has been validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows and cross-reacts with human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting studies that span rodent disease models and human clinical specimens.

Each vial contains 50 µl of reagent, sufficient for dozens of immunoblots or a moderately sized panel of IHC slides. For routine use, aliquot upon arrival to limit repeated freeze-thaw cycles, store refrigerated, and protect from light; the glycerol-containing buffer preserves activity during standard laboratory handling.

Investigators studying HDL biology, atherosclerotic plaque composition, Tangier disease mechanisms, and serum lipoprotein profiling routinely apply this reagent to liver, intestinal, and plasma-derived fractions to track APOA1 expression, distribution, and relative abundance across experimental conditions.
