Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this rabbit polyclonal antibody targets acyl-peptide hydrolase (APEH), also known by the synonyms AARE, APH, OPH, and oxidized protein hydrolase. The reagent is supplied at a concentration of 1.0 mg/mL in a 50 µL volume as an unconjugated polyclonal raised in rabbit against a recombinant human APEH immunogen, then purified by affinity chromatography. Validated for Western blotting (WB), the antibody is reactive with human, mouse, and rat samples, allowing investigators to detect endogenous levels of total APEH across a range of cell lines and tissue lysates. With a polyclonal clonality and an unconjugated format, the reagent can be paired with a wide selection of HRP, fluorophore, or biotin-labeled secondary antibodies of the user's choice. The formulation is phosphate-buffered saline at pH 7.4 (without Mg²⁺ and Ca²⁺), supplemented with 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide as a preservative, and 50% (v/v) glycerol as a cryoprotectant. For shipping and storage, the vial is dispatched at 4 °C and should be aliquoted upon receipt and stored at -20 °C, with repeated freeze/thaw cycles avoided to preserve binding activity and reagent stability. Intended for research use only and not for diagnostic or therapeutic applications, this Antibodies.com polyclonal reagent is well suited to studies of protein turnover, N-terminal peptide processing, and oxidative protein damage in mammalian systems.
