The AP2M1 protein forms the mu-2 subunit of the heterotetrameric AP-2 adaptor complex that drives clathrin-dependent endocytosis at the plasma membrane. It recognizes tyrosine-based sorting motifs on transmembrane cargo and couples receptor selection to clathrin-coated pit assembly.
Antibodies.com provides this affinity-purified reagent as a rabbit polyclonal preparation, unconjugated and supplied as 100 µl aliquots. Validation covers western blot and immunohistochemistry on human, mouse, and rat specimens, supporting cross-species investigation of receptor trafficking, synaptic vesicle recycling, and downstream endocytic signaling studies.
