Anti-AP2M1 Antibody

This polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com targets AP2M1, the mu subunit of adaptor protein complex 2 that drives clathrin-coated vesicle assembly at the plasma membrane. The antibody is raised in rabbit, supplied unconjugated at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol as a cryoprotectant, and is dispensed as a 100 µl vial appropriate for routine western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows. It has been validated on human, mouse, and rat samples, allowing consistent detection of endogenous AP2M1 across the most common model systems. AP2M1 selects tyrosine-based sorting motifs on transmembrane cargo during clathrin-mediated receptor internalization, making this reagent applicable to studies of endocytic trafficking, synaptic vesicle recycling, and receptor downregulation. Store the vial at -20°C in working aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles, and brief centrifugation before opening will recover liquid trapped in the cap.
