Anti-AP-2 Antibody

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this anti-AP-2 polyclonal reagent is raised in rabbit and affinity-purified from antiserum by epitope-specific immunogen chromatography, yielding an unconjugated IgG preparation supplied at 1.0 mg/mL in a 50 µL volume. The antibody was generated against a synthesized peptide derived from the human AP-2 protein (also referred to as transcription factor AP-2-alpha, AP2-alpha, AP2TF, and TFAP2) and is intended to detect endogenous levels of total AP-2 across human, mouse, and rat samples. It has been validated for Western blotting (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) workflows, making it a versatile option for laboratories investigating AP-2-dependent transcriptional regulation. The buffer formulation consists of rabbit IgG in phosphate-buffered saline (without Mg²⁺ and Ca²⁺) at pH 7.4, with 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide as a preservative, and 50% glycerol for stability. For handling, the vial is shipped at 4 °C; upon receipt it should be aliquoted and stored at –20 °C, with repeated freeze/thaw cycles avoided to preserve activity.
