The Anti-AOC3 polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets amine oxidase copper-containing 3 (AOC3), a copper-dependent amine oxidase also known as VAP-1 (vascular adhesion protein 1) or SSAO (semicarbazide-sensitive amine oxidase). AOC3 is expressed on the surface of vascular endothelial cells, where it mediates leukocyte rolling, adhesion, and transmigration during inflammatory responses, making it a useful marker for studies of immune cell trafficking and vascular inflammation.

This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent is validated for western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence applications and reacts with human AOC3. Each vial is supplied in a 100 µL format, and the polyclonal nature of the reagent allows recognition of multiple epitopes on the target, which is advantageous when detecting post-translational modifications or alternative splice variants.

AOC3 is a type II transmembrane glycoprotein of approximately 170 kDa, with an extracellular copper-containing amine oxidase domain that catalyzes the oxidative deamination of primary amines to generate aldehydes, hydrogen peroxide, and ammonia. Aberrant AOC3 expression has been associated with chronic inflammatory conditions, diabetes-related vascular complications, hepatic fibrosis, and certain malignancies, so the antibody is widely used by researchers investigating endothelial biology, leukocyte recruitment, and inflammatory disease models.
