Anti-ANO1 Antibody

A rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com targets ANO1 (Anoctamin-1, also called TMEM16A), a calcium-activated chloride channel encoded by the ANO1 gene and widely studied for its roles in epithelial ion transport, smooth muscle contraction, and tumor biology.

The antibody is supplied as 50 µl of affinity-purified IgG at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS, approx. pH 7.3) with 0.05% sodium azide as a preservative, and is unconjugated for direct detection. Validated for western blot analysis, it recognizes the human, mouse, and rat ANO1 protein and is suited to expression profiling in cell lines such as HEK293 and HT-29, as well as in primary epithelial and smooth muscle tissue lysates.

Researchers commonly apply this antibody to investigations of gastrointestinal stromal tumors, where ANO1/DOG1 serves as a diagnostic immunohistochemical marker, and to mechanistic work on calcium-activated chloride currents in airway, pancreatic, and salivary gland epithelia. For best results, dilute in blocking buffer according to target abundance and image with HRP-conjugated secondary reagents.
