Raised in rabbit against an N-terminal epitope of human Annexin I centred on residue N146, this polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated antibody at 1 mg/ml in Phosphate buffered saline (PBS) containing 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2. Annexin I (ANXA1) is a calcium-dependent phospholipid-binding protein implicated in membrane organisation, glucocorticoid signalling, and the resolution of inflammation, making it a frequently studied marker in epithelial and immune cell biology. The antibody is recommended for Western blot and immunohistochemistry on human, mouse, and rat samples, where it detects the endogenous ~37 kDa protein by immunoblotting and produces cytoplasmic staining patterns in formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue sections. For routine use the vial should be stored at 4 °C with aliquoting to limit freeze-thaw cycles, and for longer-term storage at -20 °C the reagent should be protected from light.
