Polyclonal reagent raised in Rabbit against the Annexin-2 (ANXA2) protein, supplied by Antibodies.com as an unconjugated, ready-to-label preparation for Western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows. The 100 µl vial is calibrated for multiple blotting membranes or dozens of tissue sections without immediate need for intermediate aliquoting.

Annexin-2 is a 36 kDa calcium- and phospholipid-binding scaffold that organizes membrane microdomains, drives vesicle trafficking, and acts as a cell-surface platform for tissue plasminogen activator and plasminogen during fibrinolysis. Because ANXA2 is overexpressed in many carcinomas and contributes to migration, invasion, and angiogenesis, detection of the protein in patient-derived xenografts, formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tumor sections, and cell-lysate blots is a common step in oncology and vascular biology research.

Reactivity has been validated against human samples, supporting studies of hepatocellular carcinoma, breast cancer, glioma, and trophoblast biology where altered ANXA2 localization is a documented marker of disease state. The unconjugated format gives researchers freedom to choose their own HRP, biotin, or fluorophore conjugation chemistry, and the polyclonal nature provides multiple epitope coverage useful for detecting processed or partially degraded Annexin-2 fragments that monoclonal reagents may miss.

For storage and handling, keep refrigerated and protected from light; aliquot upon first use to limit freeze-thaw cycles, and centrifuge briefly before each pull to recover full volume.
