From Antibodies.com, this rabbit polyclonal antibody targets ANKRD1 (Ankyrin Repeat Domain 1), a cardiac-restricted transcriptional regulator also known as CARP. The unconjugated reagent is supplied at 100 µl and is validated for Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) workflows on human and mouse samples.
ANKRD1 is expressed in striated muscle and is commonly used as a marker in studies of cardiac hypertrophy, mechanical stress response, and skeletal muscle differentiation. Researchers apply this reagent to investigate mechanotransduction pathways, including titin-N2B stretch signaling and BMP-10 / TGF-β related remodeling in cardiomyocytes.
The polyclonal format provides recognition of multiple epitopes across the ANKRD1 protein, which is useful when probing truncated splice variants or post-translationally modified forms. Supplied as a liquid aliquot, the antibody should be stored refrigerated and handled under standard immunoreagent conditions to preserve binding activity through multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
