Anti-Amyloid beta Peptide 42 Antibody [CA9 3B3]

From Antibodies.com, this Mouse monoclonal (CA9 3B3) antibody is raised against Amyloid beta Peptide 42. It is unconjugated, of the IgG2b isotype, and supplied as a lyophilised product. The antibody is validated for use in ELISA and Western blot (WB) and reacts with Human, Mouse and Rat samples.

The antibody does not recognise amyloid beta Peptide 40, and shows approximately 5% cross-reactivity to amyloid beta Peptide 43 in ELISA. It was generated using KLH conjugated to a short peptide corresponding to the C-terminal of Aβ42, and specifically recognises the C-terminal sequence MVGGVVIA of Aβ42 as well as full length Aβ42. The product is purified by Protein G affinity chromatography and formulated lyophilised from a 0.01M Phosphate Buffered Saline solution at pH 7.2.

For storage, the antibody is shipped at 4°C; upon delivery it should be aliquoted and stored at -20°C, with freeze/thaw cycles avoided. Reconstitution is performed with double distilled water, and the final concentration is reconstitution-dependent.
