Anti-AMPKα1 (phospho-S486) Antibody

A rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets AMPKα1 when phosphorylated at Serine 486, raised against a synthetic phosphopeptide derived from human AMPKα1 around the phosphorylation site of Serine 486. The unconjugated antibody is supplied at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 15 mM sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2.

Validated for use in Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC), the antibody reacts with Human, Mouse and Rat samples. It specifically detects endogenous levels of AMPKα1 protein only when phosphorylated at Ser486 and does not cross-react with phosphorylated AMPKα2 or other related proteins. The antibody has a molecular weight of approximately 63 kDa and was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen, achieving a purity of greater than 95% by SDS-PAGE.
