Produced by Antibodies.com, this rabbit polyclonal antibody recognises AMPKα1/2 when phosphorylated at threonine 183/172. It is raised in rabbit and is unconjugated, with reactivity confirmed against human, mouse and rat samples. The reagent is supplied at 1 mg/ml in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) containing 0.05% sodium azide, approximately pH 7.2.

The antibody was generated using a synthetic phosphopeptide derived from human AMPKα1 surrounding the Thr183 phosphorylation site. It specifically detects endogenous levels of AMPKα1 only when phosphorylated at Thr183 and AMPKα2 only when phosphorylated at Thr172. The product has a molecular weight of ~ 63 kDa and a purity of > 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.

Validated applications include Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC). The target protein is AMPKα1.
