Raised in rabbit as a polyclonal reagent against AMD1 (Adenosylmethionine Decarboxylase 1), this unconjugated primary antibody is supplied by Antibodies.com at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol as a cryoprotectant. It is validated for Western blot detection of the AMD1 enzyme, which catalyzes decarboxylation of S-adenosylmethionine to generate the aminopropyl donor used in polyamine biosynthesis.

The reagent recognizes AMD1 from human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting comparative studies of polyamine metabolism across these species in cell lysate and tissue extract workflows. Each vial contains 100 µl of working stock; aliquot upon first thaw to limit repeated freeze-thaw cycles, and store frozen at -20 °C, protected from light to preserve the unconjugated preparation.

Because the antibody is unconjugated, it pairs readily with HRP-, biotin-, or fluorophore-conjugated secondary antibodies chosen for the chosen Western blot detection chemistry. Sodium azide is included as a microbial preservative, so the product is intended for research use only and is not appropriate for live-cell assays where azide-sensitive processes are being investigated.
