Mouse monoclonal IgG targeting the C-terminal region of AMACR (alpha-methylacyl-CoA racemase, also known as P504S), a peroxisomal enzyme involved in branched-chain fatty acid metabolism and a routinely used tissue marker for prostatic adenocarcinoma and related neoplasms. The unconjugated clone is supplied by Antibodies.com as 100 µl of purified antibody in 0.1 M Tris-Glycine buffer (pH 7.4) with 150 mM NaCl, 0.2% sodium azide, and 50% glycerol, and has been validated for Western blot and immunocytochemistry on rat samples.

The C-terminal epitope specificity makes this reagent useful for studies involving C-terminal epitope tags, recombinant fusion constructs, or comparative work where N-terminal clones give background. Recommended applications include Western blot of cell and tissue lysates and immunocytochemistry on fixed cell culture preparations from rat origin.

For handling, store the vial at -20 °C in working aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles, avoid prolonged light exposure, and keep refrigerated at 4 °C for short-term bench access of up to several weeks. Sodium azide is included at 0.2% as a preservative; downstream conjugation or live-cell staining workflows may require buffer exchange or azide-free preparation.
