Raised in rabbit against human ALPK1, this unconjugated polyclonal primary antibody is supplied by Antibodies.com for Western blot applications. ALPK1 (Alpha Kinase 1) is a cytosolic kinase that phosphorylates TIFA to initiate innate immune signaling and has been linked to inflammatory conditions including gout, pseudogout, and the autosomal-dominant disorder ROSAH syndrome, in which gain-of-function variants drive chronic systemic inflammation. The reagent is provided at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.3, in a 100 µl vial. The polyclonal host gives broad epitope coverage of the ~138 kDa target, and a working aliquot should be prepared on arrival to limit freeze-thaw cycles. Short-term storage at 4°C is acceptable; for longer term, keep working stocks at -20°C and avoid repeated freeze-thaw of the original tube. Sodium azide acts as a microbial preservative, so the buffer should not be used in azide-sensitive conjugation chemistries or live-cell workflows. Recommended starting dilution for Western blot is typically 1:500 to 1:2000, with optimization against endogenous ALPK1 expression in relevant human cell lines.
