This Mouse monoclonal IgG reagent from Antibodies.com binds alpha Tubulin, the 50 kDa subunit of the microtubule cytoskeleton that is widely deployed as a loading control on western blots. The unconjugated antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, and Rat samples and has been validated for four applications: WB (western blot), IHC (immunohistochemistry), IF (immunofluorescence), and IP (immunoprecipitation). It is supplied as 50 µl of liquid and is suitable for normalizing lysate loading between lanes, probing fixed cells for microtubule architecture, staining formalin-fixed tissue sections, and pulling down endogenous tubulin-containing complexes. Because tubulin sequences are highly conserved across mammals, the antibody's species reactivity supports direct comparison of expression levels between cultured human lines and primary rodent tissue within the same experiment. The assigned clone identifier is AC012.
