Anti-Alpha-Synuclein Antibody [4B4]

Produced by Antibodies.com as a research-grade primary antibody, this mouse monoclonal reagent (clone 4B4) is raised against human α-synuclein and is supplied in a 500 µg pack size as a lyophilised powder. The antibody is of the IgG2a isotype, unconjugated, and is purified by Protein G affinity chromatography, with the lyophilisation buffer consisting of 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline at pH 7.2. Its recommended uses are ELISA and Western blotting (WB), and the immunogen is recombinant human α-synuclein covering amino acids 1–140 expressed in E. coli. Specificity has been confirmed for human alpha-synuclein, making it suitable for studies of the SNCA protein in cell and tissue lysates. For reconstitution, the pellet should be dissolved in double-distilled water; the working concentration is reconstitution-dependent and should be titrated by the user. Shipping is performed at 4 °C, and on arrival the antibody should be aliquoted and stored at –20 °C, with repeated freeze/thaw cycles avoided to preserve activity.
