Anti-Alpha Fetoprotein Antibody [AFP-Y1]

From Antibodies.com, this Mouse monoclonal (AFP-Y1) antibody is raised against Alpha Fetoprotein and validated for ELISA and Western blot applications. The unconjugated reagent is of the IgG1 isotype and reacts with human samples; the manufacturer notes it does not recognise human normal serum proteins.

The antibody is produced from the AFP-Y1 clone in a Mouse host and is supplied lyophilised. The immunogen is purified human AFP from amniotic fluid, and the product is purified by Protein G affinity chromatography. It is formulated lyophilised from a 0.01M Phosphate Buffered Saline solution at pH 7.0, with reconstitution using double distilled water; concentration is reconstitution dependent. Storage guidance is to ship at 4°C, then aliquot and store at -20°C upon delivery, avoiding freeze/thaw cycles. The reported epitope is Sp2/0-Ag14.
