ALKBH2 is a nuclear Fe(II)/2-oxoglutarate-dependent dioxygenase that repairs N1-methyladenine and N3-methylcytosine lesions in DNA, helping cells recover from damage caused by environmental and chemotherapeutic alkylating agents such as methyl methanesulfonate. This Antibodies.com reagent is a rabbit polyclonal IgG antibody raised against ALKBH2, supplied unconjugated in a 100 µl vial and validated for Western blot detection of the human and mouse protein. Researchers using the antibody can probe ALKBH2 expression in cell lysates and tissue extracts to study base-excision repair, genomic stability, and the cellular response to alkylation stress across human and murine model systems.
