Raised in rabbit against the ALK-1 receptor, this unconjugated polyclonal antibody is supplied by Antibodies.com as a primary reagent for studies of TGF-β superfamily signaling in vascular and endothelial biology. ALK-1 (also called ACVRL1) is a type I serine/threonine kinase receptor involved in BMP9 and BMP10 signaling, and mutations in the ACVRL1 gene are linked to hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia type 2 (HHT2), making the target of interest in angiogenesis, vascular development, and endothelial cell research.

Validated for western blot and ELISA workflows, the reagent shows reactivity with human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting cross-species experimental design. Each vial is provided as a 100 µl liquid aliquot of unconjugated rabbit polyclonal antiserum, free of secondary label so it can be paired with HRP-, biotin-, or fluorophore-conjugated detection reagents chosen by the end user. The polyclonal format presents multiple epitopes across the ALK-1 protein, which is useful when target expression is variable or when working with samples where post-translational modifications may affect single-epitope binding.

Typical uses include detection of ALK-1 in endothelial cell lysates, characterization of BMP9 and BMP10 signaling pathways, and investigation of ACVRL1 variants associated with vascular malformations. Aliquot upon arrival to limit freeze-thaw cycles, and protect from light during storage to preserve antibody activity over its shelf life. For research use only.
