ALG12 (ALG12 alpha-1,6-mannosyltransferase) is an endoplasmic reticulum-resident glycosyltransferase that adds the eighth mannose residue onto the dolichol-linked oligosaccharide precursor during N-linked protein glycosylation in human cells. Mutations in the corresponding gene cause congenital disorder of glycosylation type Ig (CDG-Ig), making a well-validated antibody reagent valuable for studies of glycosylation pathway defects.

This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is raised against the ALG12 target and validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows on human samples. Supplied as 100 µl of polyclonal serum raised in rabbit, the reagent provides a flexible detection tool for researchers studying asparagine-linked glycosylation, dolichol-linked oligosaccharide assembly, ER-associated glycan biosynthesis, and CDG-Ig pathogenesis. The unconjugated format allows users to pair the primary reagent with HRP-, fluorophore-, or biotin-labeled secondary antibodies of their own choosing, supporting multiple downstream assay designs and chromogenic or fluorescent detection readouts.

For handling, aliquot upon receipt and store at -20°C to preserve antibody activity; limit freeze-thaw cycles of the working stock. Short-term refrigerated storage at 4°C is acceptable for routine use over several weeks.
