Anti-ALDH8A1 Antibody

Produced in rabbit as an unconjugated polyclonal IgG reagent, this primary antibody from Antibodies.com targets ALDH8A1 (Aldehyde Dehydrogenase 8 Family Member A1), a 53 kDa cytosolic enzyme that preferentially oxidizes 9-cis-retinal to 9-cis-retinoic acid in the retinoid metabolism pathway. The antibody recognizes epitopes on the human ALDH8A1 protein (UniProt Q9H2A2), supporting comparative expression studies across tissues and cell lines, as well as investigations into retinaldehyde clearance, 9-cis-retinoic-acid biosynthesis, and downstream retinoid X receptor signaling.
