This polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets ALDH3B1 (aldehyde dehydrogenase 3 family member B1), an NAD(P)+-dependent enzyme that oxidizes medium-chain aliphatic and aromatic aldehydes generated through lipid peroxidation and xenobiotic metabolism. The reagent is validated for western blot, immunohistochemistry, and ELISA workflows applied to human samples.

Raised in rabbits and supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated polyclonal sera, the antibody supports research into ALDH3B1 function in oxidative stress response, epithelial differentiation, and tumor biology, where altered aldehyde clearance has been documented. Expression studies have examined ALDH3B1 across lung, gastric, hepatic, and head-and-neck tissues, often in parallel with related ALDH3 family members such as ALDH3A1.

In western blot, the reagent detects the target band under standard chemiluminescent or HRP-based protocols. For immunohistochemistry on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded sections, the antibody can be paired with HRP- or fluorophore-conjugated secondary reagents to map ALDH3B1 distribution at the cellular and subcellular level. ELISA-based quantitation is also supported by coating or detection-based strategies using microplate formats, enabling protein-level measurement in cell lysates and tissue homogenates.

For best results, aliquot upon first use to limit repeated freeze-thaw cycles and store refrigerated for routine handling or frozen for longer-term stability. The unconjugated format offers flexibility for downstream labeling with biotin, fluorophores, or enzymes tailored to a given experimental platform.
