This unconjugated monoclonal antibody from Antibodies.com recognizes human ALDH3A2, a peroxisomal and microsomal fatty aldehyde dehydrogenase (also called FALDH) that catalyzes the NAD+-dependent oxidation of long-chain aliphatic aldehydes into their corresponding fatty acids. Because biallelic loss-of-function variants in ALDH3A2 cause Sjögren-Larsson syndrome, a neurocutaneous disorder characterized by congenital ichthyosis, intellectual disability, and spastic diplegia, this reagent supports research on fatty alcohol oxidation, ether phospholipid biosynthesis, and peroxisomal lipid metabolism in patient-derived cells and disease models.

Validated for Western blot detection of the human target, the antibody is supplied as a 100 µL aliquot of purified mouse IgG2a in 0.1 M Tris-Glycine buffer (pH 7.4) containing 150 mM NaCl, 0.2% sodium azide, and 50% glycerol. The unconjugated format allows flexible pairing with HRP, fluorescent, or biotinylated secondary antibodies, supporting standard Western blot workflows in cell and tissue lysate research.
