Anti-ALDH1L1 Antibody

Aldehyde dehydrogenase 1 family member L1 (ALDH1L1) is a cytosolic folate-dependent enzyme that converts 10-formyltetrahydrofolate to tetrahydrofolate during one-carbon metabolism. Beyond its metabolic role, ALDH1L1 is widely used as a specific astrocyte marker in neuroscience, labeling cortical and hippocampal astrocyte populations in mouse and human brain tissue.

This rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is raised against the human ALDH1L1 sequence and recognizes an epitope conserved in mouse, giving confirmed reactivity across both species in Western blot and immunohistochemistry applications. It performs on formaldehyde-fixed paraffin-embedded sections as well as standard immunoblots of whole-cell lysates. The unconjugated preparation is supplied as 100 µl in a single vial and should be stored at -20 °C in single-use aliquots to limit loss of titre across freeze-thaw cycles.
