Anti-ALDH1L1 Antibody

Raised in rabbit against the cytosolic ~99 kDa folate-metabolizing enzyme ALDH1L1, this unconjugated polyclonal primary antibody from Antibodies.com recognizes an epitope shared across human, mouse, and rat orthologues. The target protein, 10-formyltetrahydrofolate dehydrogenase, catalyzes the NADP+-dependent oxidation of 10-formyltetrahydrofolate to tetrahydrofolate and CO2, coupling one-carbon transfer to nucleotide biosynthesis, and is most abundantly expressed in liver, kidney, and the central nervous system. The reagent is supplied at 1 mg/ml in a 100 µl vial, buffered in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol as a cryoprotectant, which allows storage at -20 °C in small working aliquots to limit repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
