This rabbit monoclonal IgG reagent targets ALDH1A1, a ~55 kDa cytosolic enzyme that catalyzes the oxidation of retinaldehyde to retinoic acid and serves as a canonical marker for stem and progenitor populations across normal and malignant tissues. Supplied in an unconjugated format, the antibody gives laboratories full flexibility to conjugate their preferred label, fluorophore, or reporter enzyme.

Validated for western blot, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, and immunoprecipitation workflows, the antibody cross-reacts with human, mouse, and rat ALDH1A1, supporting translational studies across species. Monoclonal production reduces lot-to-lot variability and improves reproducibility in quantitative densitometry. Each vial contains 100 µl of liquid aliquot; store at -20 °C upon arrival and aliquot to limit freeze-thaw cycles during routine use.

Distributed by Antibodies.com, the reagent is widely used to map retinoic acid signaling in liver, intestine, and neural tissue; to profile hematopoietic stem cell compartments; and to characterize ALDH1A1-positive tumor subpopulations in breast, lung, colon, and pancreatic cancer models.
