Anti-ALDH1A1 Antibody

Raised in rabbit and supplied by Antibodies.com as an unconjugated polyclonal reagent, this anti-ALDH1A1 antibody targets the aldehyde dehydrogenase 1A1 enzyme, a cytosolic protein best known for catalyzing the oxidation of retinaldehyde to retinoic acid.

ALDH1A1 is widely used as a functional marker of normal and malignant stem cell populations, with frequent application in breast cancer, lung adenocarcinoma, glioblastoma, and acute myeloid leukemia research, where elevated expression has been linked to tumor-initiating capacity and chemoresistance. The reagent is validated for Western blot detection of the human protein, enabling researchers to probe retinoic acid biosynthesis, alcohol metabolism pathways, and stemness signatures in cultured cell lines and tissue lysates.
