Anti-ALAS2 Antibody

This polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com targets ALAS2 (5'-aminolevulinate synthase 2), the erythroid-specific mitochondrial enzyme that catalyzes the first committed step of heme biosynthesis by condensing glycine with succinyl-CoA to form 5-aminolevulinate. Raised in rabbit and supplied at 1 mg/ml in PBS containing 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, the unconjugated antibody is validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry on human tissue and cell samples, supporting research into erythropoiesis, iron metabolism, and X-linked sideroblastic anemia linked to ALAS2 mutations.
