Anti-AKT1 (phospho-S246) Antibody

A rabbit polyclonal antibody supplied by Antibodies.com for the detection of AKT1 phosphorylated at Ser246. The unconjugated antibody is validated for Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) applications and is raised in rabbit. The target is AKT1, and the reagent shows reactivity with human, mouse, and rat samples.

The antibody was raised against a synthetic phosphopeptide derived from human AKT1 around the phosphorylation site of Serine 81, and specifically detects endogenous levels of AKT1 protein only when phosphorylated at Ser246. It does not cross-react with AKT2 or AKT3.

The product is supplied at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 0.05% sodium azide, at approximately pH 7.2. It was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen, with a purity of greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
