Anti-Akt1 Antibody

Supplied by Antibodies.com, this rabbit polyclonal reagent is raised against Akt1 (also known as PKB, PKB alpha, RAC, RAC-PK-alpha, Protein kinase B alpha, and Proto-oncogene c-Akt) and is intended for the qualitative detection of endogenous Akt1 protein. The antibody was generated against a synthesized peptide derived from the human Akt1 sequence around the non-phosphorylation site of S246, and it was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using the epitope-specific immunogen to maximize target specificity. It is supplied as a 50 µl liquid formulation in PBS containing 50% glycerol, 0.5% BSA and 0.02% sodium azide, at a working concentration of 1 mg/ml, and is unconjugated to suit standard label-free detection workflows. The reagent has been validated for Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC) and ELISA, and it has been confirmed to react with Human, Mouse and Rat samples, making it suitable for cross-species signaling studies centered on the PI3K/Akt pathway.
