Anti-Akt1 Antibody

Manufactured for Antibodies.com as a polyclonal reagent raised in rabbit, this affinity-purified anti-Akt1 antibody is supplied at a 50 µl volume at a working concentration of 1 mg/ml in a PBS buffer containing 50% glycerol, 0.5% BSA and 0.02% sodium azide. The unconjugated preparation has been validated for Western blot, immunohistochemistry and ELISA applications, and is intended for the detection of endogenous Akt1 protein in human, mouse and rat samples. The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen derived from a synthesized peptide corresponding to a region of human Akt1 around the non-phosphorylation site of S246, providing coverage of the AKT/PKB signalling pathway and the related synonyms PKB alpha, protein kinase B, RAC, RAC-PK-alpha and proto-oncogene c-Akt. For optimal stability, the liquid formulation should be stored at −20 °C, where it remains suitable for use for up to one year. Validation data shown on the product page include Western blot analysis of HeLa and NIH/3T3 cell lysates, confirming reactivity across human and mouse systems.
