Phospho-specific polyclonal reagent for monitoring AKT activation at tyrosine 315, supplied by Antibodies.com as a rabbit host antibody formulated at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline containing 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2. The unconjugated antibody supports western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows and cross-reacts with human, mouse, and rat AKT, enabling work across the most common research model systems. Tyrosine 315 is a regulatory site on AKT (also known as PKB), and detection of this modification by western blot or IHC is commonly used to follow signaling downstream of receptor tyrosine kinases and to dissect phosphoinositide-dependent kinase pathways. Each vial of 100 µl provides enough material for many blot or slide experiments, and the polyclonal format broadens epitope coverage around the phospho-Y315 mark, increasing the likelihood of detecting the modification even when surrounding residues vary slightly between species. Store refrigerated at 4 °C for short-term use; for longer-term storage, aliquot and freeze to limit repeated freeze-thaw cycles that can reduce antibody performance. For research use only.
