Anti-AKT (phospho-S473) Antibody

This rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets AKT phosphorylated at Serine 473 and is supplied unconjugated at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2. It is validated for Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) applications and reacts with Human, Mouse, and Rat samples.

The antibody was raised against a synthetic phosphopeptide derived from human AKT1 around the phosphorylation site of Serine 473. It specifically detects endogenous levels of AKT1 when phosphorylated at Ser473, and also recognises AKT2 and AKT3 when phosphorylated at the corresponding residues. The observed molecular weight is approximately 60 kDa.

The reagent has been affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen, achieving greater than 95% purity by SDS-PAGE.
