Anti-AKT (D302) Antibody

This rabbit polyclonal IgG preparation was raised against a region of the AKT serine/threonine kinase, also known as protein kinase B (PKB), and is supplied as an unconjugated, ready-to-dilute reagent by Antibodies.com. The antibody targets a signaling molecule central to PI3K-mediated cell survival, proliferation, and metabolic regulation, and is validated for western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows.

Reactivity has been confirmed against human, mouse, and rat samples, making the reagent useful for cross-species comparison of AKT pathway activity in both cell lysates and formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue sections. The product is provided in a 100 µl vial at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline with 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2.

For short-term use, the vial should be refrigerated and aliquoted to limit freeze-thaw cycles and preserve binding activity over the working life of the reagent. Sodium azide is present as a preservative and should be taken into account when planning downstream conjugation reactions or any experiment in which azide-sensitive components are involved.
