AKR7A2 (Aflatoxin B1 Aldehyde Reductase, also known as AFAR) is a cytosolic enzyme of the aldo-keto reductase (AKR) superfamily that catalyzes NADPH-dependent reduction of a broad range of aldehydes, including lipid peroxidation by-products, aflatoxin B1 dialdehyde, and 4-hydroxynonenal. It contributes to cellular defense against oxidative stress and xenobiotic toxicity and is broadly expressed in liver, kidney, brain, and additional tissues.

This Rabbit polyclonal antibody to AKR7A2 from Antibodies.com is unconjugated and validated for Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) applications across human, mouse, and rat samples. The reagent is supplied as a polyclonal Rabbit host preparation in a 100 µl vial volume and is intended for research use only, supporting in vitro expression studies, tissue distribution profiling, and characterization of aldehyde-detoxification pathways in cell and animal models.

For handling, store at -20°C in working aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles, keep refrigerated between uses, and protect from light to preserve antibody activity.
