AKR7A2 (Aldo-Keto Reductase Family 7 Member A2) is a cytosolic detoxification enzyme that reduces reactive aldehydes generated during lipid peroxidation and contributes to metabolism of aflatoxin B1 dialdehyde intermediates. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is supplied at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, packaged as a 100 µl aliquot suitable for repeated withdrawal. The antibody is validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows on human, mouse, and rat samples, enabling detection of endogenous AKR7A2 expression in tissues such as liver, kidney, and brain. Researchers apply it to studies of oxidative stress response, xenobiotic metabolism, and hepatocellular defense, including in vitro models of chemically induced aldehyde load.
