Raised in rabbit hosts, this polyclonal antibody recognizes human AKR1CL2, a member of the aldo-keto reductase family that has been investigated in the context of xenobiotic metabolism and the reductive biotransformation of carbonyl-containing substrates. The reagent is unconjugated, supplied as 100 µl of liquid, and is validated for western blot, immunohistochemistry, and ELISA workflows in research settings.
AKR1CL2 (aldo-keto reductase 1C-like 2) shares structural homology with other AKR1C subfamily enzymes, and antibodies raised against this target are commonly used to examine tissue-specific expression patterns, subcellular localization, and comparative expression across AKR family members. As an unconjugated primary antibody, it can be paired with HRP-, fluorescent-, or biotin-labeled secondary reagents depending on the chosen assay format.
Store at -20 °C in small working aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles, and protect from light when a fluorophore-conjugated secondary is used downstream. For research use only. Supplied by Antibodies.com.
