This unconjugated polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com targets AKAP8L (A-kinase anchoring protein 8-like), a nuclear scaffolding molecule also known as NAKAP95 or HA95. The antibody is raised in rabbit and supplied as 100 µl in a vial, formatted for Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) workflows on human-derived samples.

AKAP8L participates in recruiting type II protein kinase A regulatory subunits to discrete nuclear sub-compartments and contributes to chromatin organization during interphase, as well as to chromatin condensation and nuclear envelope reassembly during early mitotic events. Research groups studying nuclear matrix architecture, cell-cycle progression, and compartmentalized cAMP-dependent signaling use the antibody to track endogenous AKAP8L expression across cultured mammalian cell lines and archival tissue sections. Published applications include probing G1/S and G2/M arrest responses, mapping sub-nuclear localization patterns by immunostaining, and investigating NAKAP95-dependent chromatin rearrangements accompanying S-phase entry in proliferating cells.

The antiserum is provided unconjugated, so laboratories can pair it with HRP, fluorophore, or biotin-conjugated secondary detection reagents matched to their detection platform of choice. Reactivity has been validated against human AKAP8L, and end-users should empirically optimize titer, antigen retrieval, and blocking conditions for their own sample type and fixation protocol. Intended for research use only.
