AKAP8 (A Kinase Anchor Protein 8), also referred to as AKAP95, is a nuclear scaffold protein that anchors the regulatory subunit of protein kinase A and is implicated in chromatin condensation during mitosis and in DNA replication licensing. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is raised against AKAP8 and is supplied as 100 µl of a 1 mg/ml stock in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) containing 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2.

Validated application areas cover Western blot (WB), immunohistochemistry (IHC), and immunocytochemistry (ICC), supporting laboratories studying nuclear signalling, cell-cycle progression, and PKA compartmentalization. The reagent is reactive with human, mouse, and rat samples, allowing work that involves rodent models or human tissue specimens.

For short-term use, refrigerate the vial; for longer-term retention, aliquot and freeze. Because the buffer contains sodium azide, handle the product with appropriate laboratory safety precautions. Each shipment is provided as a ready-to-dilute liquid antibody for use in standard immunostaining or blotting workflows.
