Anti-AIRE-1 Antibody

An affinity-purified polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com raised in rabbit against human AIRE1 (Autoimmune Regulator), the nuclear transcription factor that drives ectopic expression of tissue-restricted antigens in medullary thymic epithelial cells and is essential for central immunological tolerance. The antibody immunoreacts with both human and mouse AIRE1 in Western blot, immunofluorescence, and ELISA workflows, and is supplied in a 100 µl vial as unconjugated whole Ig at a working dilution suited to thymic extracts, mTEC cultures, and AIRE-1 reconstitution studies. AIRE1 migrates as a band of approximately 58 kDa on reducing SDS-PAGE, producing a characteristic nuclear-speckle pattern when used for immunofluorescence on thymic sections, which is useful when characterizing APECED/APS-1 patient-derived cells, AIRE-deficient mouse models, or screens for compounds that modulate ectopic antigen display.
