Anti-AIM2 Antibody

This polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com targets AIM2 (Absent in Melanoma 2), a cytoplasmic pattern recognition receptor best known for binding double-stranded DNA and nucleating assembly of the AIM2 inflammasome, which in turn activates caspase-1 to drive maturation of IL-1β and IL-18 and trigger pyroptotic cell death. Raised in rabbit and supplied as an unconjugated preparation in a 100 µl volume, the antibody is validated across western blot, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, and ELISA workflows and reacts with human samples, supporting studies of innate immune signaling, autoinflammatory disease, host defense against viral and intracellular bacterial pathogens, and tumor microenvironment research where dysregulated cytosolic DNA sensing contributes to chronic inflammation and tumor progression.
